Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 August 2026. This policy describes how the operator of this Carrier site (the “Service”) handles information when you use it.

The nature of the Service

Carrier is a location-based messenger designed as a game. Other players can attempt to intercept letters in flight and, if they succeed, read the contents. Puzzle ciphers (Caesar, Morse, and similar tools) are encoding games. They are not end-to-end encryption. We store letters as you send them so they can be delivered, displayed, and intercepted.

Information we collect

How we use it

We use this information to operate Carrier: sign you in, route letters, show the Atlas, run intercepts, send optional notifications, review reports, and keep the Service working. We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see what

Public aliases and in-flight couriers can appear to other players on the Atlas. A successful interceptor can view a captured letter. Blocking someone hides them from your roost; it does not erase letters from our servers. Super admins review reports you submit.

Cookies

Carrier uses cookies and on-device storage that are required to run the Service: a session cookie to keep you signed in, an optional remember-me cookie and device token if you ask us to stay signed in (including in the installed mobile app), and a cookie that records this consent. We do not use advertising cookies. You must accept these to use Carrier.

Retention and your choices

We keep account, location, letter, block, and report data while your roost exists, and for a limited time in backups. You can block another roost from Settings. To ask for a copy of your data or deletion of your account, contact the operator of this site. You can turn off push notifications in Settings.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. Do not create a roost if you are under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
